Circuits des Remparts
September 18 - September 20
The Circuits des Remparts is a historic motorsport festival held each year in Angoulême, France, and is all about celebrating pre-war and early post-war racing – both cars and motorcycles – in a very authentic setting.
The event centres on racing around the old town ramparts of Angoulême. The street circuit dates back to the 1930s, so the whole weekend is designed to feel period-correct rather than a modern race meeting. It’s less about outright speed and more about heritage and spectacle.
Motorcycles play a proper, integral role, not just a sideshow, with dedicated races for vintage and classic motorcycles. Not all bikes are raced flat-out – there are parade laps and demonstrations that showcase those bikes that need a bit more care and attention! The paddock is very open and you can get close to the bikes and talk to the owners and builders.
