Race the Waves

Vintage vehicles and motorcycles spin up the sand at Bridlington South Beach!
This is a unique event within the UK motoring calendar and is a tribute to the past when Yorkshire beaches were used for land speed record attempts. Vehicles perform spirited drag-races in pairs over a 200 yard course marked in the fresh tidal sand. The motorcycles are often in groups of 4 or 5 as they leave the start line.
The Friday is the assembly day, and then the beach racing takes place on both the Saturday (from 11am) and Sunday (from 12am). Entries aren’t open yet but keep an eye on the website:
