1912 Zenith Gradua
This is a 1912 Zenith Gradua TT 500.
Zenith was a British marque – the standout feature of their motorcycles was the Gradua variable-ratio belt drive which allowed riders to adjust gearing while on the move. They were proven on the race-tracks and in 1914 a Zenith rider won the Junior class (500cc) which really boosted the reputation of their machines. A few rattled competitors back in the day felt that the Gradua afforded Zenith with an unfair advantage, and as a result many clubs banned their motorcycles from their hill climbs. Zenith was quick to identify the publicity value and took the word ‘Barred’ and used it as their trademark.
This Zenith runs and rides and has been kept running in a sympathetic way without over-restoring the bike. This is an article of the bike being used at the 2026 Pioneer Run.

- This is a running example – can be used static or ridden.
- Handler/ rider available if required.
