1915 Douglas 2 3/4 Model V

In the First World War, Douglas was a major motorcycle supplier, producing around 70,000 motorcycles for military use. This one had active service in France and is very much unrestored.

1926 New Hudson 3.5hp Semi Sports

A 1926 3.5hp semi-sports in beautiful condition. This motorcycle is equipped with a New Hudson 346cc side-valve engine and is atypical of the bread-and-button working motorcycles of that time. The side-valve motor provided a smooth and untroublesome ride, with simple maintenance and good fuel economy – qualities that mattered to the typical owner of the day. The bike featured a rigid frame and girder front forks, which was standard practice at the time; and braking is provided by internal expanding front and rear drum brakes at both ends. The gearbox is a hand-change three-speed unit.

The bike underwent a comprehensive restoration between 2010 and 2012 and completed the 2024 Banbury Run. This 100 year old classic is simply beautiful. A joy to behold and a talking point wherever she stops.

1928 New Hudson Model 81 Semi Sports

In 1928 the brochure boasted a rounded selection of motorcycles that included over-the-counter racers (the Power Plus machines that were replica models of the Jimmy Guthrie TT racer) – or on the opposite end of the spectrum – more practical side-valve models that benefited from trickled-down improvements from the racier brothers. One such bike was the New Hudson Model 81 – the ‘Semi Sports’ option that featured the New Hudson 346cc side-valve and sat in the middle of the line-up. In a nutshell, the Model 81 aimed to offer dependable performance without excessive complexity.

1925 Sunbeam Model 6 Longstroke

The Sunbeam Longstroke was an iconic motorcycle of the 1920s. It won the TT in 1922 with Alec Bennett at the bars and this is the basis of this road-production motorcycle which is very period correct and original. It is an older restoration which has mellowed into a nice used example.

1929 Triumph NSD

Triumph produced motorcycles with striking finishes, bold colour schemes, and refined detailing that set them apart from the largely black, utilitarian norm of the time. These were the Triumphs with “Tanks of Distinction”, and this one sits on a nice old 1929 Triumph NSD.
