The 2024 Pioneer Run Video

The Pioneer Run was founded by the Sunbeam Motorcycle Club in 1930, when an entry of 77 pre-1914 motorcycles set off on a route from London to Brighton. It caused quite a stir, and some chaos on the roads, but marked the start of an annual event for very old bikes that runs to this day.

The Run now starts from the racecourse on Epsom Downs, where the route then takes riders through the counties of Surrey and Sussex, with the finish at Shoreham Airport. The 45-mile route is packed with fun, frolics and turbulence, and these moments have been vividly captured by Alex from the Classic Motorcycle Channel who was there for the 2024 start and finish.

Thank you to the Sunbeam Motorcycle Club for hosting another fantastic event and for having us along on the day to witness a spectacular array of old motorcycles.
